Our Summer Camp Facilities
Situated in the Lakes Region of NH, the Camp is located on over 250 acres of woodlands and fields with a half mile of frontage on Lower Beech Pond. The Camp commands inspiring views of Lake Winnipesaukee and the White Mountains.
Cabins
William Lawrence's living quarters have a simple and rustic feel to them. As supervision is crucial to a healthy camp experience, counselors live in adjacent quarters within the cabin. The bathhouse is nearby. Modeled after the original cabins found on the property, our new cabins encourage our campers to unplug, read a book, and enjoy the sounds of nature. |
Dining Hall
When meal time comes around at camp, our residents are good and hungry. Fortunately, our food never leaves anyone wanting. Campers take turns with waitering duties, setting the table before the meal, and bussing the dishes after. Served buffet style, our menu is a balanced helping of nutrition and kid friendly food. Special dietary needs are easily met here at Pratt Hall, with alternatives served out of the kitchen window for those who need it. Table maners are emphasized, and portion control helps teach good eating habits. Campers sit together with their cabin mates, providing our counselors the perfect chance to check in with their kids. Campers are given plenty of time to eat, and once the table has been cleared, dessert is served. |

The William Lawrence Camp dining Hall is the focal point of our camp spirit. The first part of our meals is our calm and structured eating time. However, once everyone has been fed, Pratt hall becomes alive with energy. Chants, songs, cheers, clapping, stomping, and even dancing are commonplace during the latter portions of lunch and dinner. Other rituals, such as the giant pancake flip, and jello eating contests by the staff, add flavor to the session. Announcement time at the end of the meal acts as a general assembly with information for the campers for upcoming program, infused with wit and goofyness. On occasion, the staff will turn on the dining hall stereo and rock the house. This wholesome, yet energized time in the dining hall is a major part of our camp spirit. |
Farmhouse
The Farmhouse is home to the Camp's year round administrative offices as well as the beautiful library, recreation room, arts & crafts, staff laundry, storage and senior staff housing.
Infirmary
Health care is supervised by our registered nurse who resides in our well-equipped infirmary. The Camp doctor is always on call and Huggins Hospital is in nearby Wolfeboro.
Library
Rich with tradition, campers names from each season are listed on plaques in the Library. Books are available for campers to spend some quiet time reading.
Recreational Room
Campers retreat to the 'rec room' to play foosball, pool, a favorite board game or to simply relax. Campers may also sit in comfortable adirondack chairs on the wrap-around deck with great views and a cool breeze.
