Why are some camps opening if you are not?

Each camp is different and will ultimately assess its ability to operate in 2020 based on federal, state, and local guidance, its facilities, programming, location, and many other factors.

Is there a way we can visit camp this summer?

We would love for you to visit camp if it is deemed safe!

We are alsways looking for the WLC community to come to camp for a visit or to help with some of the projects.

In order to ensure the safety of everyone in our community, please contct the camp office if you would like to spend the day at camp.

Does 2020 count towards my Bill Larry Boy and Bill Larry Man recognition?

If you were due to receive your Bill Larry Boy or Bill Larry Man in 2020, you will get it when you return to camp and you will get credit for summer 2020. So, if you were supposed to get your Bill Larry Boy in 2020 and you come back in 2021, you will receive your Bill Larry Boy recognition and be in your sixth WLC summer.

I'm 15 and this was going to be my last summer. Now what?

William Lawrence will welcome back domestic 16 year olds as either 2nd year Seniors or LITs. International 16 year olds have always been and will continue to be second year Seniors.

This was supposed to be my LIT summer. What happens now?

We plan to run the LIT program virtually with the potential of spending some time onsite for summer 2020.

More information will be sent home when we finish developing the online program.

I was supposed to be a staff member this year, what now?

All staff that was hired or placed with an agency has a standing job for summer 2021. Nat will reach out at the end of the year to confirm your intent to join us.

How can I help William Lawrence?

As a non-profit organization, William Lawrence relies on the generosity of our community members to help put our mission into action. Suspending camp this summer will have a dramatic impact not just on our operating budget for this year, but on our future enrollment and capacity for growth.

Stay tuned for a Capital Campaign that will be presented via email and social media. In the meantime, consider donating online by clicking HERE.

Is there a way I can stay in touch with my camp friends?

Yes! WLC will continue to oganize Re-ZOOM-ions as well as create smaller Zoom calls for current campers based on Unit.

We are also working on a WLC Directory so everyone will have each other's contact information. Please stay tuned as this may take a little while to organize.

So, will WLC offer anything this summer?

Camp is something that lives inside each of us. Although we will not be together this summer, we can support each other from a distance. William Lawrence’s staff is working to develop ways for us to connect and continue some of camp’s traditions and programming remotely. We would love to hear your suggestions about other ways we can have a great WLC experience separate yet together.

When can I expect dates and rates for summer 2021?

We plan to have 2021's dtaes and rates available by August 1st. Those that choose to roll their 2020 deposit to 2021 will automatically receive the Early Enrollment Discount.
